Meeting Jamaican musician Spice for the first time, many Ugandan dancehall artists had to pick their jaws from the ground in what later turned into a battle for a collaboration with the self-styled “Queen of Dancehall.”
Buchaman, Ziza Bafana, Mark da Urban, and Fik Gaza found themselves fighting for the microphone at the press conference as they tried to freestyle and relay their dancehall vibe as Spice watched on, seemingly shocked.

To many Ugandans, it was such an embarrassing moment that left the local stars quite exposed, and it should never happen again.
According to Cindy Sanyu, however, the artists should be pardoned. The self-titled King Herself stated that in such moments, excitement can take the lead, and composure could be lost.
When you meet the person you like so much, you are at a loss for words. In a way, they were not well composed as they should have been. The Ziza Bafana, Buchaman, and Mark Da Urban that we have known for a long time just disappeared.
Sometimes, such situations fail you because of the excitement, but pardon them and understand that it was because of the excitement.
Cindy also tipped Fik Gaza to stay original when recording the alleged collaboration that he secured with Spice.
Fik Gaza is a good artist. Such collaborations with famous artists require you to stay original. The Ugandan artist must remain Ugandan, and the Jamaican artist must remain Jamaican. That’s the only way you will create something beautiful.
I love it that this time Fik (Gaza) is to benefit from it; next time it could be me. We have to wish well for our fellow Ugandans. It’s a win for the industry either way.
@sanyukatvug Fik Gaza and Ziza Bafana were overwhelmed with excitement meeting someone they admire, so they lost composure. Ugandans should understand and forgive them.- Cindy #SanyukaUnCut #SanyukaUpdates #FfeBannoDdala
