David Lutalo has opened up about a shocking incident from earlier in his life, revealing how he was once allegedly set up by a hater in a plot meant to harm him.

While speaking during an interview with a YouTuber, Lutalo shared that an individual with ill intentions reportedly arranged for him to sleep with a woman who was HIV positive, hoping he would contract the virus.

According to the singer, the plan did not succeed, but it escalated into damaging rumors. He explained that when the woman failed to get close to him despite pressure, she falsely claimed they had been intimate.

We have gone through a lot of things. When the girl failed to get me and she was being put under pressure, she lied that she had slept with me. That person went around saying they had infected me and that it would show in a few years.

Lutalo reflected on the challenges he faced while navigating the music industry, describing the experience as filled with traps and difficult situations.

Interestingly, Lutalo also revealed that he wrote his breakthrough song “Kapapala” without ever having fallen in love at the time, highlighting how his creativity was not necessarily tied to personal romantic experiences.

He credited one major life decision for helping him stay grounded and avoid many of the pitfalls in the industry, getting married early.

Lutalo explained that tying the knot shortly after moving to Kampala from his village in Luweero played a key role in keeping him focused and disciplined.
