Former Miss Uganda Hannah Karema has revealed that she is currently not interested in romantic relationships, saying she still considers herself too young to be in one.
Speaking during an interview on Galaxy TV’s The Deep Talk, the former beauty queen explained that she believes relationships are meant for grown-ups and feels she has not yet reached that stage in life.

“I’m still too young to be in a romantic relationship,” Hannah said during the interview, adding that she is currently more focused on personal growth and leadership.
Hannah Karema also addressed why many former Miss Uganda queens tend to disappear from the public eye after their reigns come to an end. According to her, every individual has a different life journey and chooses how to use the platform they receive.
The former Miss Uganda noted that for her, the pageant opened doors and gave her visibility, which she later used to pursue leadership opportunities at Makerere University.
Hannah recently contested for the Makerere University Guild President position, something she says aligns with her long-term ambitions despite not winning the race.
I took the opportunity but me I’ve always wanted to do what I’m doing now so Miss Uganda presented itself as a platform and I took advantage of it.
She further said that joining university leadership was another opportunity for her to showcase her leadership abilities.
When I got to Makerere University and I found a platform where I can exercise my leadership skills, I’m going to do the same.
She emphasized that former beauty queens should not be judged for choosing different paths after their reigns, noting that some prefer a private life while others use the exposure to pursue careers in leadership, business, or entertainment.
