Rapper Victor Kamenyo, real name Derrick Katongole, has officially abandoned his role as a committee member at the Uganda Musicians Association (UMA), citing a lack of financial transparency.
In 2019, Victor Kemenyo was appointed as a committee member to represent the Hip Hop genre. His time as an executive committee member came to a dramatic end after he announced his official resignation, noting that they had diverged from the cause.
Kamenyo, during a TV interview, affirmed that UMA received a tune of 100 million from UNMF, as confirmed to him by the president, Eddy Kenzo, but the top cabinet allegedly swindled it.
He alleged that he was not aware that they had received the money, but got to see the UMA president, Cindy, and Big Eye Starboss on social media, planning to receive the money on behalf of the association.

Kamenyo claimed he was disappointed about being left behind despite being one of the 9 members on the committee.
He claimed he tried contacting Big Eye Starboss and Cindy Sanyu to ask about the money, but they feigned ignorance.
