Nyege Nyege has officially unveiled Adrift Uganda at Kalagala Falls as the new home for its monumental 10-year anniversary edition, setting the stage for one of the most adventurous and highly anticipated festivals of the year. The four-day celebration runs from Thursday 20th to Sunday 23rd November, and excitement is already sweeping across the country.

During a media tour and press briefing, festival organisers alongside Talent Africa Group showcased the scenic new venue, describing it as the perfect backdrop for the next evolution of the Nyege Nyege experience. The area features lush river views, vast open grounds and natural elements that complement the festival’s artistic identity.
Organisers Confirm Full Readiness
Talent Africa CEO Aly Allibhai revealed that preparations at Adrift Uganda are complete after weeks of extensive setup and coordination.

“All teams are ready. Production, hospitality, logistics and security are all synchronized to deliver a safe and seamless festival,” he noted. Allibhai emphasized that security agencies have already been deployed, ensuring maximum safety throughout the event.
He also teased the festival’s biggest upgrades yet, promising:
- Multi-themed stages with bold new designs
- Enhanced lighting and world-class sound systems
- Expanded art installations
- Strengthened food and beverage operations
- Upgraded camping and hospitality zones
According to Allibhai, this year’s edition is built to be “a premium fusion of culture, music, art and community,” marking a new chapter for the festival.

Organisers also encouraged revelers to grab tickets early, highlighting the MTN MoMo UGX 150,000 weekend pass as the best-value offer for this year.
Adventure Tourism Takes Center Stage
A major highlight of the new venue is the integration of adventure tourism. Through collaborations with Adrift Uganda and the Lemara Group, festival-goers will have access to:
- White-water rafting on the Nile
- Bungee jumping at UGX 200,000
- Quad biking trails
- Nile river cruises
Both UTB and Adrift will run booking points on-site, offering exclusive packages for foreigners and local tourists looking to explore the Nile’s thrill side during the festival.

Adrift Uganda’s representative Peter Mubeezi assured the public that the venue is well-equipped to host the thousands expected, boasting space for multiple performance areas, markets and entertainment zones.
New Festival Spaces Introduced
This edition will debut innovative curated spaces designed to elevate the attendee experience:
- UGX Village: A bustling cultural marketplace showcasing Ugandan fashion, crafts, cuisine and art.
- The Hive: A new professional networking hub hosting keynote discussions, music business panels, podcasts and industry meet-ups featuring both local and international delegates.
Transport and Route Information
Organisers advised attendees traveling from Kampala to take the Gayaza–Kayunga road up to Kangulumira Town, where ticket verification will be conducted. After that, free shuttle buses will transport revelers directly to Adrift Uganda.
With its new home, amplified experiences and a strong emphasis on safety and adventure, the 10-year edition of Nyege Nyege is shaping up to be the biggest and boldest festival the region has seen.
